Niche Snowboards

Challenge:

When I joined the Niche Snowboards project, the company was nearing the completion of a site redesign that faced significant hurdles, particularly with complex customization requests. The initial website, built on a template builder, showed limitations as the business grew. As the site struggled to accommodate the evolving needs of the business, it became clear that a custom solution would be required to meet both the technical and aesthetic goals of the brand.

Solution:

To address these challenges, I implemented a combination of custom CSS, JavaScript, and plugins, allowing me to meet their immediate needs without starting from scratch. The steps I took included:

1. Custom Solutions for Complex Requests:
   I leveraged custom CSS and JavaScript, alongside specific plugins, to fulfill the client’s intricate customization requests. This enabled the site to function more smoothly and meet the unique needs of the business without completely overhauling the design.

2. Performance Audit & Continuous Improvements:
   After the site launch, I conducted a comprehensive performance audit and identified areas for improvement. I continually worked on enhancing both SEO and user experience, helping Niche Snowboards grow and engage their customer base more effectively.

3. Transition to Custom Solution:
   Given the limitations of the template builder, I transitioned the site to a fully customized solution. This allowed for greater flexibility and scalability, aligning with Niche Snowboards’ long-term business goals.

4. Collaboration with Creative Director:
   With the release of WordPress’ new block editor, I collaborated closely with the creative director to design and develop a site that not only met the technical requirements but also reflected Niche Snowboards’ brand identity. The result was a high-performance platform that could scale with the business.

Results:
