Challenge:

When Morrell Ranch approached me, their WordPress site had not been updated in an extended period of time. The site was still using older elements, and its design and functionality did not align with the latest WordPress capabilities. The client’s main concern was not to undergo a full redesign but to update the content and layout to reflect their current offerings, particularly their Airbnb listings.

Solution:

I worked within the existing theme to modernize the site while maintaining the client’s preferences for minimal disruption. The steps I took included:

1. WordPress Block System Integration:

I transitioned the site’s content and layout to the current WordPress block editor, ensuring the site was using the latest features and improved user experience. This gave the client more flexibility and control over their content moving forward.

2. Content Updates & Layout Adjustments:

I updated the existing content to be more relevant and engaging, while ensuring the layout aligned with modern design standards. The updated layout also improved the site’s responsiveness across devices, making it easier for potential customers to navigate.

3. New Pages for Airbnb Offerings:

I created dedicated pages that linked to their Airbnb listings, ensuring that potential guests could easily find and book accommodations. This update helped increase visibility and provided a smoother user journey for booking.
